SOUTH ST. PAUL - Police said they had to shoot nine cows to death after the
animals escaped from a meat packing plant early Thursday morning.
The cows escaped from the Dakota Premium in South St. Paul at around 3:30
a.m. Within minutes, drivers began calling police to report the loose
cattle.
